Death Valley: The Desert Landscape. Nov 30 - Dec 3, 2017. Few Spaces Remaining!
Nov 30 – Dec 3, 2017
Death Valley is the lowest, driest, and hottest place in North America. Its extreme geology provides otherworldly photography opportunities that are unique unto themselves. Its salt pans, sand dunes, and cracked earth textures are a feast for the eyes and the camera. Join this multi-day workshop to explore, shoot, and enjoy this fascinating and beautiful desert landscape.
High Sierra Summer Monsoon. 2018 Dates TBD
California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range was famously called “the Range of Light” by John Muir for the endless dance that light performs on the range’s peaks. The Sierra Nevada is characterized by massive granite mountains, picturesque lakes and rivers, and rich forests. The scenic and varied landscapes are a photographer’s delight. In addition, mid July often brings the monsoon and thunderstorm to the Sierra, making for exciting and dramatic conditions for photography. This High Sierra photography workshop will visit such grand locations as the Little Lakes Valley, Tuolumne and Dana Meadows, 20 Lakes Basin, Mono Lake, Convict Lake, groves of quaking aspens, and much more. Join us as we photograph the spell binding scenery of the High Sierra.
The Palouse and Eastern Washington. 2018 Dates TBD
The rolling, manicured agricultural fields of eastern Washington tap into some serious “Americana”. This area, often referred to as the “Palouse” is actually an expansive area filled with old farmsteads, dilapidated houses, farm equipment, and often dramatic skies. Come explore the rural landscapes of this scenic region!
