When Bears Don’t Attack

Behind the Scenes of this Photo

Taken in the Many Glacier region of Glacier National Park on Jun 15th, 2016

While in Glacier National Park in June of 2016 I was filming a piece with Fusion Network about climate change and how it will affect the ecosystems of Glacier. While driving into the park we saw two black bears frolicking in a roadside field of wildflowers.  Returning later to shoot sunset in that same field we were careful to make lots of noise in order to alert any bears still in the area that we were around. Thankfully it seemed the critters had cleared out and we enjoyed the breathtaking light show all by ourselves.
