The Lightroom Local Editing Pro Course
Bust the myth that you need Photoshop to create beautiful photos.
There’s an all-too-common myth in the landscape photography world: that Lightroom is good for high-level editing, but that if you want to do anything with precision you have to use Photoshop.
I am here to bust that myth!
This course is designed to make you a Pro at fine-toothed editing in Lightroom. Isolate shadows and highlights, add color to one small patch of sky, increase the detail in a rock formation without affecting anything else. The possibilities are endless.
The Gradient Filter
This is an awesome tool for darkening skies, smoothing out exposure, removing color casts, and even creating soft glow effects in your images.
The Radial Filter
The radial filter is one of the most underrated and underutilized tools in Lightroom. Not only can it be used to add stunning light effects, but it can also be used to apply incredibly fine-tuned and adjustable vignettes that are far more powerful than Lightroom’s built-in vignetting.
The Adjustment Brush
The adjustment brush is an insane powerhouse of local editing. Use it to dodge and burn, boost shadows and darken highlights, enhance color in specific areas, create fog and atmosphere, and even bring out your Milky Way.
Let’s take it up a notch:
You’ve heard of Luminosity Masking in Photoshop? It sounds a little scary, right?
Thankfully, creating these kinds of masks in Lightroom is as easy as adjusting two sliders. In this course you will learn how to create luminosity and color masks for your adjustments in Lightroom, quickly, simply, and non-destructively. It’s amazingly fast and easy.
Imagine dodging just the spines of a cactus in order to bring out its beautiful rim light. That’s what you’ll learn in this course.
And here’s the mask I created for this adjustment, entirely within Lightroom. Now that’s precise!

IS THIS BUNDLE FOR YOU?
9 Easy Steps to Photographing Epic Grand Landscapes is a course aimed at experienced beginner and intermediate photographers but will be useful for anyone who wants to learn how to create epic Grand Landscape photos.

How does lifetime access sound? After purchasing, you have instant, unlimited access to this course for as long as you like, across any and all devices you own.
And the toolkit is downloaded and installed on your computer, for your use as long as you like.
Absolutely! Every video is available for you to download.
Nope! Frankly, I’m not a big fan of presets, because there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all editing when it comes to landscape photography.
Instead these are custom-built tools that I use all the time on my own photos to help me enhance atmosphere and light, add impact to skies and foregrounds, enhance specific colors, make my Milky Way photos pop, and more.
Not at all. Think of it like this: if you buy the same paintbrushes and paints as Bob Ross, will your paintings look like his? Probably not! Because even though you are using the same tools, it’s up to your creativity and artistic sense to use the tools in a way that works best for you.
This LR toolkit is exactly the same. The tools will help you accomplish certain goals (like adding warmth or glow), but the how you use them, when, and where is up to you!
Yes! This toolkit is 100% compatible with Adobe Camera Raw. You will find the installation instructions for ACR in the course materials.
Unfortunately not at this time. The cloud version of Lightroom does not support pre-built tools yet. However, you can certainly watch the course, learn how to build the tools yourself, and then apply that knowledge within Lightroom Cloud.
Great question! Usually when someone asks “is this Photoshopped?” what they really mean is “did you add something to this photo that wasn’t there before?” Like dropping in a different sky, or warping a mountain to look taller, or cloning a bunch of wildflowers to add color to the scene.
These LR tools don’t allow you to replace skies, warp mountains, or add unicorns or rainbows, sorry. What these tools let you do is brighten or darken parts of your photo, make them warmer or cooler, and make details clearer (or less clear). But with those simple adjustments you can create a huge number of creative effects that add atmosphere mood, color, and artistic styling to your photos to make them truly your own.
Yes you can. You will see the PayPal option on the checkout screen.
I think you’re going to love this course and these tools. But if you try it and it’s not for you, no worries. I have a full 14-day refund policy and am happy to refund your money, no questions asked.
HEY! I’M JOSH CRIPPS.
I’ve helped thousands of people improve their photos. Here’s how I can help you.
I’ve been teaching photography for over 12 years. In the beginning I was teaching only myself. But as I began to understand what made a good photo I quickly moved on to assisting other photographers on their workshops, and then to teaching my own. Since then I’ve instructed thousands of photographers in person in some of the most beautiful places in the world.
But I didn’t stop there. I also created one of the most popular photography channels on YouTube, which has over 300,000 subscribers and 14 million video views (and counting!).
Throughout these years of teaching (as well as refining my own photography) I’ve learned a lot about what makes a good photo and what doesn’t.
I’ve also come to realize when you’re learning photography you need more than just theory. You need practical approaches, step-by-step processes, and go-to ideas about how to craft a winning image. You need a framework to start from that you can build your own creative ideas off of.
That’s why I created this Lightroom Toolkit and Local Editing Pro Course.
These tools give you everything you need to become a pro at precision editing in Lightroom, and to bring your artistic vision to life in post.
Add creative artistry to your edits
Master local editing like a pro. Utilize my pre-built tools to add simple, powerful creative effects to your photos and bring out your inner artist.
