What lens did you use to photograph your eclipse photo?

All Topics

I used a 500mm lens. It would be better to shoot something like this with a 600mm or 800mm lens to have even more detail in the man and the camel, but for the sake of traveling I chose to bring a 200-500mm because it’s much easier to carry. I could have used a teleconverter to add some extra reach to my lens, but it’s debatable whether teleconverters actually have any benefit because they negatively affect image quality. In this case I chose to use my 500mm and then to use softwares that would up-res the photo as needed.
