Raw or JPEG?
99% of the time you should be shooting raw. Shooting in jpg can be useful to improve your technical skills though. Processing a jpg quickly degrades the image, so it’s important that anytime you shoot jpg you work hard to get a perfect exposure and perfect color balance. Giving yourself this limitation will help you fine tune your technical skills in the field.
