| Taken at Four Mile Beach in Santa Cruz, California, on March 1st, 2010
While settling in for an afternoon of work on a cloudy day, my inner voice piped up and encouraged me to go out shooting. After some arguments back and forth over whether or not there would be any color to the sunset, the inner voice won out and I headed down to the beach. As I meandered along looking for a composition, good light seemed a distant prospect as the sky was nearly 100% overcast. As I came upon some rocks which I had made a mental note of earlier while scouting this beach, the sky somehow exploded into an other-worldly sunset, which made me so grateful I had heeded that nagging voice inside that kept saying "what if?" It just goes to show you: you never know unless you go.
